Materials
Use book cartons for anything heavy and tea chests for light bulky items. Butchers paper, bubble wrap, packing tape and a marker cover almost everything else.
Method
Heavy items at the bottom, light on top, no voids. Cartons should close flat and be liftable by one person. Plates travel on edge, not stacked flat.
What removalists will not carry
Flammable liquids, gas bottles, aerosols, paint, fuel and ammunition are excluded by every carrier, and are strictly controlled on Bass Strait sailings.
